Unable to open Forms Page in my client's Oracle Apps Application

Hi I am getting the following error stack when i try to open the forms page in my client's Oracle Apps application. I checked the host file entry, proxy settings.. and tried re-installing the JInitiator multiple times. But nothing worked. I tried some of the solutions mentioned in this forum but issue dint get resolved. My colleagues sitting besides me, were able to access the page using the same proxy settings. ERROR ==== FRM-92060: Failed to Connect to the Server Bad Machine Specification : <HOSTNAME>:<PORT> Details: Java Exception: java.net.UnknownHostException: <HostName>.... Any suggestions will help me a lot. Thanks, Praveen

Hi, Which browser are you using and which version of Oracle Apps? Please go though [Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=285218.1] Thanks, Anchorage

Anchorage I am using IE and Firefox and facing the same problem on both. Thanks, Praveen

Praveen, Have you tried the configuration setups given in the document I provided you? Is error is still the same. Try open the forms directly: http://<host>.<domain>.com:<port no>/dev60cgi/f60cgi? Thanks, Anchorage

Praveen, Was this working before? If yes, what changes have been done recently? Please post the complete error message from Jinitiator Console Window.

Achorage Yes i checked the link which you have mentioned. The IE settings are all ok (i am using IE6). Also i tried to access the forms straight away by giving <hostname>:<portname/dev60cgi/f60cgi? but the result is same. Hasswan I did not found any error in the Java Console. This is all what i can see in it. Praveen, Please enable tracing in Jinitiator and see if further details about the error are reported in the trace file. Note: 232651.1 - How to Enable Tracing in Jinitiator https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=232651.1

Anchorage Can you please guide me how i can confirm this. I dont have any idea about how to check these things. I surfed the net, they are just giving some scripts. Thanks, Praveen

Thanks, Praveen

You can check it via IE Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level Firefox Tools > Options > Contents there you can enable java script and enable java Thanks, Anchorage

Connecting http://hp205.us.dnb.com:8030/OA_JAVA/oracle/forms/registry/Registry.dat with proxy=*159.137.227.217:8080* As you see, proxy is enabled so please disable it OR add the application URL to the proxy exception list and check then.

Anchorage I checked in Firefox. Both the options are enabled. But in IE i couldnt find that option where you specified. I checked in the Custom Levels of Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites. But i am not able to find that option. Is there any chance for issue in my n/w configuration ? Thanks, Praveen
