OBIEE 11g Administration Tool New Symbols/Icons

Hi Everyone, This might appear to be a simple question, but I have been unable to locate a pciture guide describing what the new symbols/icons are in th Admin Tool. The admin guide did not help. I searched it several times. Anybody have a helpful picture guide like they did for the BI Server Administration guide for 10g? Thx.

Hey, Just for you I created I create a post showing a side-by-side comparison of the Oracle BI 11g and Oracle BI 10g administration tools' icons so that you could have your answer answered. http://www.biconsultinggroup.com/oraclebiblog/2011/7/21/new-oracle-bi-11g-administration-tool-icons-a-comparison.html I didn't have the 10g user guide handy so but I think the side-by-side image layout should provide what you were looking for. Please mark this as the correct answer if it is. Cheers, Christian

Did you ever find a guide. I have no idea what they mean, like in the physical layer what does a yellow/gold star on a DB icon mean

There is no guide for defining what the icons "mean". The icons are mainly for the architect's ability to match an icon to specific RPD elements in order to coordinate and assist to visually emphasize a relationship or importance of the objects within the RPD as they are working.
