Cache in OBIEE 11g

Hi, I have a sql query which gets generated after running a analysis (Report) which has prompts defined above it. Like select a,b,c from DB1 where year = "2011" and Month = "July" Now if i use IBOTS to cache this analysis then it only caches till the select statement but not the where condition. I have obiee installed on Linux Box and hence to cache the complete sql generated after the report run, i need expert opinion. Thanks in Advance for your support. Regards, Rahul

Is the report columns 'Is Prompted' and getting values from Dashboard Prompts?? Can you also try including Year & Month col in your report criteria ??

My report does not have any year or month as it is not required by the client, although report is using prompts but they are not dashboard prompts, they are report specific prompts in obiee 11g.

Then I dont think this will hit cache along with analysis prompts. Hope this helps..

Absolutely, it doesn't but any idea what is the alternative.? Any idea of using nqcmd with JS or VB Scirpt for cache seeding

All these methods will only work if you have the filters there OR u r trying to cache a page with same dashboard prompt. But incase you know abt specific prompt values then u can write sql and use it to seed cache via nqcmd utility. Hope it helps

Can you provide specific way to use nqcmd for a query in linux environment in detail.

Shud be very easy, its independent of obiee flavor http://hiteshbiblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/obiee-schedule-purge-and-re-build-of.html

Well thanks for this, but do you have anything specific to Linux?

I m running this on linux and solaris both

Ah, but how are you able to using nqcmd.exe? Do we have any sh file as well? Can you provide a complete command to me you are using and from what location that sh file is getting fired?
