General Questions

Hi all I create a dblink on DB1, and I create a MV on DB2 based on the first dblink My problem is when I create a materialized view for a table containning a column with LONG type. I use DBMS_METADATA_UTIL.LONG2VARCHAR. But I get a MV with a empty column. The same result when I use DBMS_METADATA_UTIL.LONG2CLOB. Is there a solution for this. Thanks in advance.

The LONG data type has been deprecated. Why are you trying to use it for new development?

I Inherit a table with a column LONG data type. I have to create a meterialized view on an other database based on this table. How I can resolve this?
